  • After walking behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, I was treated to this view as I completed the loop. Clear skies allowed for the late afternoon sun to cast a rainbow on the waterfall while also providing details to the textures of the grass and rock. The waterfall itself is 200 feet and with the shape of the rocks it is possible to walk behind the waterfall, getting a little spray depending on the wind conditions.

  • In September 2008 while visiting Estes Park, I had planned to photograph around Bear Lake one morning. As the first hints of light appeared I was halfway up Bear Lake Road and realized I would be stuck in the clouds. Quickly thinking of some other options, I decided to risk a risk and change locations. Finding a pullout, I headed back down the road and went up Trail Ridge Road where at tree line I emerged from the clouds. Knowing Rainbow Curve was not too far away I made it to the turnoff with about 10 minutes to spare prior to sunrise.

  • This image was on the north shore of Oahu while on a visit to Sunset Beach. As I waited for the sun to set I looked behind me and saw the rainbow complimented with some nice warm light on a pleasant January afternoon. It was great to have my feet in the sand and enjoy the sun as it soon headed down with a small bit of color on that evening.
