It was a quiet morning along La Jolla Cove in Southern California. As I looked down at the sand in the cover I notice the rock in the sand. The water would come up to and past the rock and then recede back to the ocean. After noticing this for a little bit I set up my tripod to capture this with a long exposure. Using a long exposure with water will smooth it but also as it moves in an area without water give it a little ghostly effect. The timing of the exposure was what I was concerned in when I took this image and how the water would show in the frame.
