Located between the Colorado State Capitol and City and County of Denver Building is Civic Center Park. While not only bridging the gap between the buildings the Greek Ampitheater also serves as a meeting place, and in this instance a welcoming to the City of Denver.

This photograph was taken in 2008, which allows the reminder of the Rocky Mountain News to show on the white building across the park.
